Math Square

Introduction:

In geometry, square is a polygon with four equal sides and angles and also it is called regular quadrilateral. The term "square" is an either a square number (" is the square of ") or convex quadrilateral with sides of equal length that are positioned at right angles to each other that includes geometric figure.

A square is a special case of an isosceles trapezoid, parallelogram, quadrilateral, rectangle, rhombus, kite and trapezoid.

The diagonals of a square are perpendicular and bisect one another and also they bisect each pair of opposite angles. I like to share this Triangular Prism Surface Area with you all through my article.

Properties

A square is both a rectangle (equal angles) and a rhombus(equal sides) and therefore has all the properties of both these shapes, namely:

The diagonals of a square bisect to each other.
The diagonals of a square bisect it’s their angles.
The diagonals of a square are perpendicular.
Opposite sides of a square are both equal and parallel.
All four angles of a square are equal.
The diagonals of a square are equal.
If a figure is both a rhombus (equal edge lengths) and a rectangle (right angles), then it is a square. (Rhombus (four equal sides) + Rectangle (four equal angles) = Square)
If a circle is circumscribed around a given square, the area of the circle is π / 2 (about 1.57) times the area of the square.
If a circle is inscribed in the given square, the area of the circle is π / 4 (about 0.79) times the area of the square.
A given square has a larger area than any other quadrilateral with the same perimeter
A given square tiling is one of three regular tilings of the plane (the others are the equilateral triangle and the regular hexagon). Please express your views of this topic Volume of a Sphere Calculator by commenting on blog.

Formula

The area of square = (side) 2

The perimeter of square = 4*side

Diagonals of square=Sqrt (2)*side

Example: 1

To find the area of square with side length 5 cm.

Area= (side) 2

= (5) 2

=5*5

=25

Area=25 cm2

Example 2:

To find the perimeter of square with side length 10 feet.

Perimeter= 4*side

=4*10

=40

Perimeter=40cm
